By law, egg donation is anonymous, meaning neither the recipients nor the children conceived will ever be given any information on your identity as a donor. Likewise, you will never receive any information on the recipients or their children. The only exception is known donation, where the identity of the parties involved is known by everyone concerned.

As a donor, before starting the process, you must sign a statement in which you voluntarily relinquish your eggs. All the parenting responsibilities towards any children conceived using those eggs lie with their recipients, not with you, as a donor.

When you register as an egg donor and start the treatment, you commit to meticulously following the instructions of the physician and the coordinator. However, you do have the right to stop  treatment at any time.
